Charles Hamilton Biologic

Charles Hamilton could've been anything he wanted to be. His initial aspiration was to be a motivational speaker. Then lawyer. He then shifted his gears to want to be like his mother, and be a journalist. As time passed, his hunger drove him more than his IQ, and he became what we know him as today.

A musician.

From his subtle upbringing in Cleveland's suburban parts, he played drums first, mastering a simple one-two rhythm that then propelled him to the keyboard. He was more rhythm driven than melody driven, which his family found humorous, as he "has no rhythm". From as early as 18 months, he was playing keyboard, and didn't pick up another instrument until he was well into his teenage years. His range of keyboard skills go from grand piano to organ to Rhodes to clavi.

When he picked up the guitar, he had already developed another skill. Rapping. "I only started rapping to prove to the hoodlums in my area I can fit in and do something better than them." Whenever things got too tough for him, he'd write clever, dark and extremely witty (borderline racist) rhymes to best his already-rap fueld peers.

Never to impress.

"I just knew I was good at the English language. So when the concept of Ebonics hit the surface, I capitalized on it and began to rape the culture far worse than any Elvis; and this was before Eminem's arrival to the mainstream. I considered myself a Gothic, rapping Alanis Morrisette."

From the lead guitar, he shifted to the bass guitar, and before doing so, he had established yet another skill. Production. "On my Yamaha PSR-225, I had 6 tracks, and had to play out the beat for the duration of the song. I couldn't wait to get my hands on an MPC." Though he could construct original melodies, he was even better at interpolating melodies, or "playing out the sample."

His first album, "From the Desk Of...", was a fledgling attempt at production, but a heavyweight introduction of his lyricism. "I still look down on that album," he says. "I wish I produced more of it. Either way, it's still superior to most of the albums that came out at the time."

His freshman year of college, however, Hamilton came into his own. He learned the ever-popular production DAW Fruity Loops, and developed a skill only credited to Grammy-award winning producer 9th Wonder (who he swears is a positive influence, not a host for him to leech from): sampling, on Fruity Loops.

"I'm gonna keep the technique to myself, but yeah. I treat Fruity Loops like an MPC, and there's more than one way to sample on there." Out of hundreds of beats produced in college, he chose approximately 15 and recorded to them, for an album called "Sober Karaoke", what he considers his BEST WORK. "From the beats to the bars, I have yet to beat this album. I'm very proud of it."

Riding high off the heels of a well-produced, SELF-produced album, and riding neutrally from one's own low self-esteem, he continued to make beats wherever there was a PC, Internet and a headphone jack. Which often led him to his former high-school, Frederick Douglass Academy. It was here he recorded what soon and later became his publicly and critically acclaimed album, "The Pink Lavalamp".

"Look. I'm proud of the album. Without question. But I've grown since then, and I, without doubt, dumbed down my lyrical content for 'acceptance' in a ...community, dare I say. I've acheived such, but I can't even find my true musician friends from Williamsburg, Brooklyn, from and to whom I made my truest music with."

After well over 100 albums released for free online, 2 recording situations and controversial blog posts, accusing many of today's celebrities of rape (a colloquial term for style-stealing), Hamilton's career seems in the balance. And after a comment overheard by many regarding his beloved StarChasers, one can only wonder if self-sabotage is Hamilton's goal. "I've always been suicidal. I'm just looking for someone... or some someones, to ( _ ) take the plunge with me and find out where this afterlife road may take us. All I know is I'm making the soundtrack for the rapture, should I be divinely accepted or not."

You can blame it on a lack of longevity on the parts of the greats, or a lack of foresight on the parts of the newbies. But one this is for certain.

Hamilton is in the lead.

After a rough night of being hated on, Charles Hamilton rolled up a bag of Rhode Island's finest gardenry and watched his neighbor Meg from his 2nd floor window. He witnessed perhaps the most evil site in the world unfold right before his eyes: Meg taking off her top. Her pink top that no one seems notice her wearing because she's chubby. She screamed into her mirror "These Griffins don't get it! My name is M/E/G Gilmore, and MEG is an acronym!"

He froze, and wondered what it could stand for. He was paralyzed with fear when finding "Mad Evil Genius".

Upon realizing such, he was quantum warped into a moment where he met his soulmate, a Black hippie named Nadia. After brief eye contact, he asked Nadia for her number and was told so, but was also instructed not to write down the number. To make a long story short, he did.

And has never seen Nadia again.
